General Leather Care

Leather is a natural material that evolves with time and use. To maintain its beauty, please follow these general rules:

• Keep it dry: Avoid prolonged exposure to rain or moisture. If the item gets wet, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth and let it air dry away from direct heat sources.
• Avoid overexposure: Keep your leather away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity, as these can cause fading, cracking, or discoloration.
• Storage: When not in use, store your item in the provided dust bag in a cool, dry place. Stuff it with acid-free tissue paper to help maintain its shape.
• Avoid chemicals: Do not use cleaning solvents, oils, waxes, or household cleaners. If a deep clean is needed, we recommend professional leather care services.

 

Special Care by Material

Each type of leather has unique characteristics that require specific attention.

 

1. Smooth Calfskin

Known for its refined, uniform surface, smooth calfskin is prone to light surface scratches.

• Maintenance: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to buff the surface lightly to maintain its natural luster.
• Protection: Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces or sharp objects. If the surface becomes dull, a high-quality, neutral leather cream may be applied sparingly by a professional.

 

2. Embossed Grain Calfskin

This leather features a textured pattern that provides high durability and resistance to scratches.

• Maintenance: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust or debris from the crevices of the grain.
• Protection: Because of its textured surface, it is more forgiving than smooth leathers. However, avoid heavy oils or polishes that could accumulate in the embossed pattern.

 

3. Cow Suede

Suede is highly absorbent and sensitive to liquids and oils.

• Maintenance: Use a suede-specific brush to gently lift the "nap" (fibers) of the leather. Brush in one direction to restore its velvety appearance.
• Protection: We highly recommend using a water-repellent spray specifically designed for suede before the first use. If a stain occurs, use a suede eraser, but avoid water at all costs.

 

4. Lambskin

Lambskin is prized for its incredible softness and delicate touch. It is the most sensitive leather in our collection.

• Maintenance: Handle with care to prevent nicks or deep scratches. Lightly wipe with a soft, clean, dry cloth after use to remove natural oils or dust.
• Protection: Lambskin is highly absorbent. Keep it away from makeup, perfumes, and hand creams, as these can cause permanent staining. Avoid overloading the item to maintain its delicate shape.
