Made-to-Order & Final Sale Policy

Because of the dedicated time and artisanal process required for each item, all sales are final. We are unable to accommodate cancellations once an order has been placed, nor do we accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind.

 

 

Natural Leather Characteristics & Color

We exclusively source premium natural leathers from Italy and France. Our commitment to delivering the highest quality means we carefully select and cut our hides—often sacrificing yield to utilize only the finest portions. However, because we use authentic, full-grain materials, slight variations in texture, inherent marks, wrinkles, or minor tonal differences may be present.

Additionally, please note that colors may appear slightly different depending on your monitor or screen settings. These characteristics and screen variances are a beautiful testament to the material's origin and digital nature; they are not considered manufacturing defects and do not qualify as grounds for return, refund, or exchange.

 

 

Defective or Damaged Items

Every Mattoni product undergoes a rigorous quality inspection prior to shipment. While we strive for perfection, if you believe you have received an item with a genuine manufacturing defect (unrelated to the natural characteristics of the leather), please contact us immediately.

Please email us at hello@mattoniatelier.com within 48 hours of receiving your order including your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photographs. To be eligible for a defect-related exchange or return, the item must be completely unused, unaltered, and in its original condition with all tags attached, along with the original dust bags and packaging box. We will thoroughly review your case and gladly accommodate you if a genuine defect is confirmed.

 

 

Repairs & Care

We stand behind the craftsmanship of our work. If you experience a structural issue related to our craftsmanship (such as stitching or hardware faults), please reach out to us for an evaluation.

Please note that we do not offer cleaning services, stain removal, or refurbishing for general wear and tear, color transfer, or water damage. Delicate materials, such as suede and lambskin, require special care and should be handled with attention to our care instructions. For deep cleaning or stain removal, we recommend consulting a professional leather care specialist.
